Since I’m still waiting for the new dramas in this season to release I’ve been downloading back the older season dramas like Taiyou to Umi no Kyoshitsu, Shibatora, Koizora etc.
Finish Taiyou to Umi no Kyoshitsu in a couple of days, another typical school drama like Gokusen, GTO type. So it’s a drama focusing on teaching high schoolers to face their own problems and the path they walk in future.
The following contain spoilers
Compared to other school dramas this one has more different kind of teenage issues not like Gokusen where one always gets into a fight and shows a great amount of friendship amongst one another. They have the issue of Eiji where his parents were gone and he had to take care of 3 kids all alone. His brothers and sister was sent away so that he could study. Then it was Masayuki and the piano, where he got too much pressure from school and parents that he didn’t want to play the piano anymore. It was cool when Masayuki played the piano up on the cliff. It has other issues involving students in the class 3-1 which Sakurai slowly helps them out one by one and teaching them the correct way of facing it.
I didn’t expect that one of the students would die at the end, so I was surprise that Hachi died because he was saving Tsugihara (I think that’s her name). Then it was the whole “they can’t graduate” issue because the school didn’t teach the students some subjects so that the students have more time to study other subjects which can get them into a good university.
Problem was solved when they went through tutor and the drama ended with them safely graduated.
The cute pairing of Yamato and Hana, the kiss in the school library. I like this pairing because all you ever see them is studying and all they talk about is maths. The part where they were calculating the tomato was funny because they were confused where the tomato was gone, something like that.
I like the scene in here, the scenery of the cliff and ocean with someone playing the piano there. It’s something I see in MVs.
Although I’ve seen enough of school dramas like this but this one was pretty good as the issues that happen in the drama was interesting.
I’m watching this drama now eh? I really like Kii kitano xD
That couple, IMO, is weird! i thought the guy was a really odd looking girl until that episode, and I was like “…” when they got together. Now I know why he’s wearing a blue shirt.
Eiji is amazing! I thought him and the student teacher looked related xD So it would be a weird image if she actually married him!
I cried that episode, in the ship.
I cant wait to watch more. I bought the series, but its effed up, so I’ll just have to finish it online.
😀
This drama reminds me of an odd mix of Gachibaka and any normal high school show. o-o my love for kii makes it that much better though

Why is he wearing a blue shirt? It’s weird because some guys are wearing blue and some guys are wearing white shirt. I wonder if there is any meaning to it.
For a split second I really though Eiji would end up with that female teacher, didn’t they kissed?
I haven’t seen Gachibaka before, this drama is like other school drama but still is interesting.
I don’t know, maybe it was to make it clear that he really is a guy, because no one can actually tell.
I THOUGHT THEY DID when I saw the preview for the episode, but i didn’t actually see it in the episode.
I think they would actually be cute together.
I like this drama because most high school dramas focus on a teacher trying to repair a class of delinquents. This one is the opposite. He’s trying to make over-achievers relax a bit. Its kinda cool!
Well they didn’t show clearly that they kissed but they did kiss because the teacher was acting all awkward afterward.
Anyways, yeah this drama is nice because it focus on the students more.
Well I hope they did kiss, because that would be awesome.
I’ll see when I watch further in. I got distracted by another drama XD
