I don’t watch a lot of Korean variety shows but “Strong Heart” is one that I am watching every single episodes so far. I never thought I would enjoy such a variety show where it’s only talking amongst celebrities because the lack of Korean celebrities I know. But I’m glad they have some current idols which I do know and even with those celebrities I don’t know their stories are very entertaining. As it was said in the first episode this show is Lee Seung Gi first time hosting, I thought he did a great job so far. He would often throw out something quite funny and I can see Kang Ho Dong giving him a lot chance to perform. It’s surprising that I am loving this show, it always makes me crack up laughing.
Just a brief highlight of episode 01-04.
Episode 01
Before watching the full episode or even knowing this show exists I watched a cut out version where the artists were talking about when they should release their albums and because of G-Dragon they had to postpone their release date. I found that so hilarious and love how they all joke around making GD feel bad.
I then watch the almost full version on Youtube, the most funny parts would have to be the Big Bang’s stories. Although GD and Seung Ri was the center of attention but I didn’t mind at all because it was entertaining. Boom’s parody of “Heartbreaker” was hilarious, I couldn’t help but to crack up laughing.

Episode 02
This episode focus a lot on 2NE1, I’m not that interested in them but I do like their songs. Instead a lot of talking here they had a lot of performances here. Not that I mind as little performances helps to makes the show more interesting and less boring. But 2NE1’s stories aren’t that interesting and funny. Boom confession in this episode was touching his girlfriend must be touched. Kara’s Nicole’s story was hilarious too, as she was teasing Kang Ho Dong about talking English to her and after asking he would disappear. Although I’m not familiar with Fly to the Sky but Brain’s story was serious and interesting.

Episode 03
I was looking forward to this episode ever since I saw the preview because Jo Kwon is one of the guest, ever since I saw his outrages dancing and funny videos on Youtube I’ve start to like him but only because he’s funny. The most memorial parts were a few female artists complained about Kang Ho Dong, like things that was way back ages ago, it’s funny to see their Kang Ho Dong’s face and great thing was they even showed the video of what some of the female artists were talking about. Another memorial part has to be the Bracademy, Brain’s and Jo Kwon’s dance was sexy! The part where they were seriously singing and suddenly started sexy dancing was so hilarious, it’s hilarious to see how quickly they change.

Episode 04
The talking before they get into stories was longer than usual, it took up half of the episodes talking. All I really remember in this episode was the square love between Yoona, Seung Gi, Lee Teuk and Brain. It was actually quite interesting since the first episode Seung Gi has expressed that he likes Yoona, they all like teasing him. Yoona said Lee Teuk has been proposing to her ever since young before she even debuted and Brain expresses that Yoona is the type of girls he likes. Brain seem to be joking but it seem real that Lee Teuk likes Yoona. So Yoona became the center attention for the guys. I don’t know that guy’s name but the one with glasses and bowtie, he’s so funny every time he spoke all the other guests would start laughing.

So far I think episode 01 and episode 03 are the most funniest and interesting episodes.

i just found out about strong heart and i’m so excited! although i just started watching and i’m a bit confused about how the show is set up, like you said, it’s appeal is in people just sharing their funny stories, which makes them seem more much more real and human than the idols/celebrities they are the rest of the time… i just remembered what this show reminded me of: another show i miss dearly with celebrities casually chatting about their stories, yashimmanman…
