After a 3 month debut SHINee has received their new comer award which confirmed their popularity. On August 28th their album The SHINee World has finally released. After listening to their debut song “Noona, You’re So Pretty” I’ve been waiting for their album to be release.

The first track The SHINee World (Doo Bop) is a hip hop/urban track which is very different from their usual style. The beat of the song is nice and I can almost compare it to Big Bang’s song as in their name is mentioned and the rap part introduce the boys before the song ends.
After a fast intro the slower song Love’s Way is a mid-tempo ballad, I really like this song. The vocal is soft yet powerful, the rapping part does add a little flavor to the song.
You’re Like Oxygen is a remake of Martin hedegaard’s Show the World, it’s a 80’s type song and sounded a bit like Michael Jackson’s style. It probably won’t be that addictive as Noona You’re So Pretty but it does start to grow inside me once I listen to it more. But I like watching the live performance more because of the dance and use of the chairs.
After a fast pace song Romantic slows down the beat as a ballad R’n'B song. The song somehow reminds me of another song which I can’t remember just thought the melody is familiar. Romantic probably is a song where you have to listen to a few times to get into heart.
One For Me is yet another ballad song, it has a calm beat and relaxing feel to it. But it’s not a song that would be remembered easily in heart.
Graze is a mid-tempo ballad. It’s another song that I don’t take much notice.
Last Gift is another ballad song, it has a calm beat with the beautiful vocals. It’s a nice song to listen when you’re in a silent place or clam.
After a set of ballad songs finally there’s one upbeat song. It’s a R’n'B type of track which can be compare with one of the Western songs.
Y Si Fuera Ella is a remake of a Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz with the same title. This is a solo song of Jonghyun, the beat is probably a bit too slow for me. It’s probably my least favorite song out of the album.
Four Season is a R’n'B ballad song, it doesn’t appeal much to me.
In My Room unplugged remix this was already feature in their debut mini album. It’s a ballad song which mainly focus on the vocals.
Lastly it’s the well known song from SHINee, Noona You’re So Pretty (Replay). The song never fails to capture my heart again as I still think this song is the best from SHINee. Although I have repeated it million times already but I am still not sick of it.
Overall the album is good but I was expecting more upbeat song since they are a dance group and hoping there would be more songs like Noona You’re So Pretty but instead there’s quiet a lot of ballads. Although the group only debuted for a short time but it seem like they’ve grown too fast. The good thing about that is it gives us a different feel and a new image for SHINee but I was hoping they could at least stay as the young and energetic feel they gave us in the debut mini album for a little bit longer.
