When Hikari was very little she and her father likes pro wrestling and Hikari becomes really good at it at a young age. She was undefeated until the day Kei Takishima a son’s of Hikari’s father friend. Kei instantly defeated her in pro wrestling and from that day onwards Hikari was determine to beat Kei. She applied in the same school as Kei and they both become the class members of “Special A (S.A)” which only the top 7 students can get in. They have different uniform compared to the normal students, their own building (but they always show the green house) and take different lessons.
The fact that they are all super rich kids (excluding Hikari) and hangs out together all the time really reminds me of Ouran High School Host Club. But the contrast between these two animes are Ouran High School Host Club likes to differentiate on the poor and rich, such as the times where they look down on Haruhi’s instant coffee. But I guess Special A likes to differentiate on the smart and dumb.
The graphics looks pretty decent at all times only at some of the moments where it looks a bit retarded. But there’s one thing which bothers me at first was their super long skinny legs, I don’t think the manga was like that.
The first episode introduces us the members of the S.A class, their ranking and their specialties. After with the brief introduction of the members it quickly went to the plot of Hikari and Kei challenge of the vaulting horse competition. Other things that happened in episode was Kei and Hikari beating up the guys who was trying to take photos of the exam, but find it weird for Kei to unbutton his shirt while fighting (was it necessary or was it just fan-service?). The Jun and Megumi doing a performance for Kei’s birthday which seem to be horrible. And ended up showing Hikari scored 100 on her test thinking she could become first but Kei scored 105, an extra 5 for pointing out a mistake.
In the second episode it focus on the pro wrestling fight with 2 of the macho guys which represent the student council Takei Hajime. In this episode we see glimpse of Kei and Hikari strengths as they were damaging the gym’s floor while training. It also shows Kei is protective of Hikari as he was lying to her so that she could give up on the match. Which probably shows that Kei likes/loves Hikari but all Hikari thinks is how to beat Kei and over take the number 1 spot.
The third episode was kind boring as the whole episode was about Hikari trying to make onigiri for Kei but it did has some cute moments like Kei getting jealous and was all excited about Hikari’s cooking. This has just show more of Kei’s feelings towards Hikari which I’m sure that Kei likes Hikari.
After watching the first three episodes I can decide that this is more on comedy and probably with a bit of romance in it. It’s going pretty good right now and hope the story will grow for us to know more of the characters.

i got bored watching the anime since i have been reading the manga and i dont think there’s a lot of differences between the two. so far i’ve seen episode 1-2 and they are funny as hell. if i had time i would really watch this for the funny moments brought to motion… i want to see that chapter in the manga tho where they went on a field trip. that was so funny lol
