[jdrama] Gokusen 3 – Ep01

With the successful of season 1 & 2 Gokusen is back with a season 3. I really enjoyed season 1 as everything was new to me then season 2 was too repetitive and predictable what kept me watching was the guys, Kame, Jin, Mokomichi, Teppei etc.

Season 3 has slightly more younger guys which are closer to the high school age but not really attracting (to me) and I was surprise to see Nakama Yukie who still looks the same without aging from season 1 & 2. The start of episode 1 was similar to episode 1 in season 2, as Yankumi was fired from the last school (from season 2) and was off somewhere teaching. And with the terrible class 3-D Sawatari went off to find Yankumi to take this class as she have success helping 2 troubled class graduated (in season 1 & 2).

Yankumi takes the offer as she can teach again but she was offer teaching a troubled class again. With mostly everything practically the same as season 1 & 2, Yankumi helps these kids to graduate. This time instead of 1 being the leader the class is split into 2 teams.

In this episode it quickly goes off with the police accusing Ren as the thief for the recent stealing cases, there goes again with Yankumi trusting her students no matter what and it is predicted that Ren is not the thief and will get saved by Yankumi.

As Yankumi believes in Ren she goes off finding the real thief her action somehow touched Ogata Yamato and he goes off helping to find the real thief. Ogata found the real thief and was capture by them, they gang up on him and beat him. During this time it is predicted that Yankumi will come to save the day. For the Nth times she said the same line before starting the fight, obviously she beat the crap out of them and saved Ogata without him knowing.

Ren is free and seem like Ren & Ogata looks at Yankumi differently from previous teachers. It was rather quick that they accepted Yankumi as in season 1 & 2 took at least 2 or 3 episodes. And I like the idea of having Kumai appearing again as he was the only student appearing again in season 2 & 3.
